The origins of the Dallaway name have intrigued me for years, and resulted in a slow research that led from the then record office at Catherine House in London, to the IGI records, and then most interestingly to correspondence with many other Dallaways around the world. It's been a slow process because there's' so much else in life to do!
I business mentor with the Princes Trust , write fiction, ( + doing a degree in fiction writing with the Open Uni ), and also do silversmithing, ( having retired from Purchasing Manager with the Home Retail Group ( Argos & Homebase ), while partner Briony is head of a primary school, and a London leader of Education, son Richard with Uni of the Creative Arts, daughter Alexia with Kingston Uni recruiting overseas post grad students, and daughter Kenna doing her GCSEs this year.
Other interests include Reiki, walking, gardening, Archery, regularly visiting Sark, Tobago, and now Levi for skiing..somewhere in there is built time to visit a few favourite restaurants, ( Chapter One & Two, the RSJ & Cafe du Marche ), plus a great pub ( The Wheatsheaf Bough Beech ), and listen to music that varies from Haydn's piano trios to Meatloaf & Queen and many jazz pieces.
